I had been thinking about how I mark and write in my Bible for a long time when I read this article by a Bible scholar I respect, Jim Hamilton. Since then I have been looking for the right set of markers to use, and I finally found them here on Amazon. I have certain themes I’m noting as I read through the Bible, and so I’m using the different colors to underline and make notes on these themes.
Wow. It almost makes me want to get one of those wide margin Bibles and start through it using this or a similar method. For my current small Bible, I simply circle the verse number of verses that “jump of the page,” and I highlight promises for the believers. The article drives a desire inside to study and dig deeper.
